Insulation Material
Insulation Material
Insulation material plays a critical role in enhancing the efficiency of underfloor heating systems. It is installed beneath the heating pipes or mats to prevent heat loss to the subfloor. By directing the heat upwards towards the flooring surface, insulation ensures faster heat-up times, reduced energy consumption, and consistent warmth. Common materials used include rigid foam boards (such as polystyrene or polyurethane) and reflective foil, both of which provide excellent thermal resistance and durability. Proper insulation not only optimizes heating performance but also lowers operating costs.
